PHP 8.2 reaches its official End-of-Life on December 31, 2026. Because older Magento versions rely on PHP 8.1/8.2, they will run on unsupported, unpatched server software starting January 1, 2027.
Hosting providers will force server-side PHP upgrades, which can cause fatal crashes (Error 500) on unpatched Magento sites. Furthermore, running past this date results in PCI-DSS compliance failures and severe security vulnerabilities.
Action Required: Prajna Commerce will assist audit third-party extensions and plan an upgrade to Magento 2.4.8 or 2.4.9 to maintain compatibility with PHP 8.3/8.4.
